One of the unfortunate side effects of an anti-depressant is this impossible exhaustion that I feel. Taking Effexor XR makes me drowsy most of the time. I have switched from Prozac to Effexor in hopes of evading a lot of the side-effects of Prozac. I couldn’t handle the insomnia, but now I can’t seem to sleep enough! It’s like a ping-pong match in my mind. If I don’t take an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) then I face the spiral of depression. I usually lack emotion without the assistance of an SSRI. My face is void expression and I rarely feel a reason to laugh, even when things are funny. It’s a very sad place where I compulse to think down on myself and count and organize things. I’m pretty much the life of a party when I’m not on an SSRI!
I had a cup of organic whole-grain cheerio’s for breakfast with some almond milk. Even with 1,000mg of metformin and insulin, my sugars didn’t get below 350 today. I’ve been very thirsty, but I’ve kept my fluid consumption down as much as possible. At one time, when I was living in NY, I drank eight gallons of water and two gallons of milk in a day. I ended up in the hospital with water poisoning. So! you CAN drink too much water haha! Not that anyone else would have thought it a good idea to drink that much. It was the worst feeling, even when I was drinking fluids I was still thirsty. My body was crashing and burning.
When someone with diabetes has high blood sugar for too long, they go into something called DKA or diabetic ketoacidosis. What that means is that their blood become acidic. The enzymes are all pissed off and keytones are very high. The organs start to become damaged. Without medical attention, it’s a very fatal condition. I’ve been in DKA twice. But I also used to eat an entire package of Oreo’s with milk. Both of them have loads of sugar and fat. It was like committing suicide with sheer ignorance.
I am hoping that tomorrow is a better day! I’d love to have some energy back. I’ve got a breakfast banana with my name on it and that is an amazing way to start off the day. I also have to get to the gym. I have an appointment on Tuesday with a neurologist about my legs. We’ll see what’s going on with them! If I have to get one leg amputated, I’m totally getting a pirate peg for it!

I haven’t played Okami, but I’ve heard good things about it! (I don’t have any video game consoles left, I had to sell them to be able to eat for a period of time) The client who ordered these shoes was very gracious about the coloring. I wanted to do cell style shading, originally, but the thread count was too low and the marker pH was too high. Much bleeding occurred, so I did the best I could to make due! I hope she likes them, I really enjoyed making them.
